Other affordable options
Although Cabanas San Isidro offers an experience like none other, with the archaeology opportunities and the guinea pig farm among other fun attractions, there are some hotels that offer competitively priced packages, including Guango Lodge and Samona Lodge. Guango has all-inclusive packages that feature cool activities like cooking classes, photography lessons, and more. Whereas San Isidro is in the Papallacta region, Samona Lodge puts you in the heart of the pristine Cuyabeno nature reserve where you will see a completely different part of the rainforest environment.
Visiting the Galapagos Islands and/or the Sierra highlands

Although Ecuador is a tiny country compared to Colombia and Peru at its borders, there is still so much gorgeous nature for you to appreciate. The Galapagos Islands are considered to be one of the wonders of the world for their beautifully natural land and underwater landscapes. A trip here makes for unforgettable snorkeling, diving, and exploring.
In mainland Ecuador, travelers can take in the panoramic views that the highland region offers. There are excellent highlights that you will see as you travel through the colonial cities and towns along the “Avenue of the Volcanoes” that flag the majestic mountain skyline of the Sierra mountains.
