SHIRIPUNO

This tour lasts approximately three hours. We start off going down river by the Napo River bank. Upon visiting the Muyuna community, each tourist becomes an observer of their customs and environment, of its people, kind and curious in nature, of their entertainment habits, and their eating habits. At a community center you will learn how to prepare “chicha”, a main source of nutrition that has remained the centerpiece of their diet since historic times. This community is undergoing an educational, social and economic transition.

PAPA PUNUNO
This is an all-day tour. Papá Pununo is a century-old tree with a trunk so thick that takes 20 men to hug it. There are lianas available for intrepid tourists who want to fly Tarzan-style. Two off-spring of this magnificent tree are within a short distance and there are multiple plantations designed to teach tourists more about it. This scenario provides excellent photo opportunities. Next, we cross a 200 meter-long hanging bridge to visit the wood-working community of Pununo. Once there, we usually buy cold sodas and beer to cool us down. More than likely, the group will play a volley ball game - bets included, followed by lunch at a local eatery. Later, the itinerary includes a visit to an indigenous community. We will travel by the Misahualli River bank, where you will have an opportunity to swim in its waters. A native tour guide leads us into the jungle, where he will share his knowledge of the area with you.

RUMIURCO
This is an all-day tour. In the morning we cross the Coyaco River through the Rumihurco and Quindiurco canyon, which leads to the Quindiurco Mountain. This route is mountainous and it includes a jungle portion. This walk - suitable for children – takes place in an entirely controlled environment. In Rumiurco we can find vestiges of a centuries-old fort. We can participate in jungle adventures while taking amazing pictures. With your binoculars you will be able to grasp the vast immensity of the jungle. Lunch is served around noon and the return trip to the hotel takes place in the afternoon.

SHAMAN RITUAL 4D/3N (Min. 5 pax)
This is a two-hour evening tour. Rain or shine, after dinner you are invited to take a stroll in the jungle towards the Shaman’s house. As we walk, we light our way with torches, accompanied by the sound of the drums to scare off animals, particularly snakes. When we arrive, for a USD $10.00 fee, you are invited to watch a Shaman in action and enjoy his favorite liquor. Afterwards, when the torches die out, you will be serenaded by a concert of insects. After the tour, you will be able to move in the jungle like an expert. It’s an unforgettable experience you will want to share and recommend to others.
